Canaan is Home! Whoohoo!!
He had a fun-filled week, he got to work with his Grandpa Gene at Christian Healthcare Ministries, and then my sister and her two little boys were there for a couple of days and they all went to Chuck E Cheese to play. He is always happy to spend quality time with grandparents, especially when he doesn't have to share their attention with his baby sister. :)
Thanks Mom and Gene for making special memories for Canaan this week... But it will be a looong time before you do it again. :)

My Wheels are Back
I went with my mother-in-law this afternoon to pick up my van while Candi was napping. When she woke up I told her to look out in the garage, so she opened the door and looked out when she saw our van, she started clapping her hands and said, "Yaaay! They brought our van back" She was as excited as I to give the little white bomb back to Grandpa and Grandma Heskett. :)

ICHA Camp
Last week was ICHA camp, our van is in the shop right now so we rented a 2008 Dodge Avenger to make the trip to Indiana. WOW! what a car. It was a dream to drive! It was black and fully loaded, I loved it!
We had a good time at camp and got a great price at the Comfort Inn. The kids enjoyed the pool every evening, the girl at the front desk left it open later for them, she was so nice.
God really helped Steve speak in the Home Mission service on Saturday afternoon, and he shared about what God is doing for him now. Steve felt God leading him to attend the New Life Holiness Church where a lady he has been communicating with for the past 4 months attends church. Beverly was healed of Cerebral Palsy 3 years ago and when she heard about Steve getting his healing via Patsy Southerland she gave us a call, thus the beginning of a friendship on the telephone. We really wanted to meet her and felt God opening the door for it to finally happen. She had shared our story with her church and they have been praying for Steve every service. What an encouraging service on Sunday morning. We got to spend the day with Beverly and meet her husband, daughter and little grand-daughter Haley who is 4. We then attended service with them again for the PM service, we felt like we had known Pastor Coleman and his wife all of our lives, they were true encouragers.
Beverly's story is awesome! She is a kindred spirit and we feel honored that God let our paths cross with her. She understands Steve so much, and the healing process he is going through. What a blessed weekend God allowed us to have, He is so good to us.
Sorry there are no pictures, I left my camera at Beverly's home Sunday night, but I will get it soon, They are planning to come to camp! We are thrilled!!
