Canaan is Home! Whoohoo!!

Steve, Candi and I went to Zanesville, OH today to meet up with my mom and step-dad and pick up Canaan. We met at the Cracker Barrel, one of my favorite places to eat. Candi was happy to get to see grandma Chris, but she was delighted to see Canaan and she has been his little shadow all evening. We are all so HAPPY to have Canaan back home.
He had a fun-filled week, he got to work with his Grandpa Gene at Christian Healthcare Ministries, and then my sister and her two little boys were there for a couple of days and they all went to Chuck E Cheese to play. He is always happy to spend quality time with grandparents, especially when he doesn't have to share their attention with his baby sister. :)
Thanks Mom and Gene for making special memories for Canaan this week... But it will be a looong time before you do it again. :)

My Wheels are Back

My van is back, Hooray!!

I went with my mother-in-law this afternoon to pick up my van while Candi was napping. When she woke up I told her to look out in the garage, so she opened the door and looked out when she saw our van, she started clapping her hands and said, "Yaaay! They brought our van back" She was as excited as I to give the little white bomb back to Grandpa and Grandma Heskett. :)

The Importance of Prayer

"I said a prayer for you today"This is one of the sweetest phrases I have ever had spoken to me. There are people in our lives that have told Steve and I that they pray for us daily. What a thought!!

Where would we be, what turmoil our lives would be in if there was not prayers going up for us.
Prayer has been our main focus for the last six months and the things we have seen God do for us is more than words can express. I have seen miracles that I never dreamed I would witness. It is truly amazing! If you need someone to pray for, you can add me to your list, I am always in need of God's hand in my life.

Happy Birthday To Mike

I wanted to wish my sister's husband Michael a Happy Birthday! Though he doesn't like people to make a big deal about it, do not buy him a cake, and you better not sing either! He literally ran for the door the one time I tried it, my father-in-law thought he was playing... OH MY!
Well anyway Happy Birthday Mike, hope you aren't too depressed about leaving the 20's behind! :)

Cousins

Canaan and Candi always love when they get to spend time with their cousins. We were so glad that Kaitlyn, Jon and Lauren got to come to camp for the entire time. Candi adores Lauren and wants to do everything like her when she is around. Cousins make the Best Friends! :)

Wow! What a Great Camp

It is hard to believe that another camp has come and gone! What a wonderful time, God's presence was felt so strong in every service... The young people moved out to seek God in the services and in the late night prayer meetings. God continued to touch Steve physically through out the camp and we are still holding in prayer for the completion of the healing on his body.
Bro. Mac did a wonderful job of speaking to us, the young people fell in love with him. We were privileged to then have Bro. Meek on the last weekend when Bro. Mac had to leave us. God is so good. I praise Him for another wonderful camp.

Happy Father's Day To The Fathers in My Life

I have been so blessed! God gave me a wonderful Daddy, he was the best! He taught me and my sister to fear and obey God. We are what we are today because of his godly teaching. Daddy went home to Heaven in 1994 and God blessed me with a great step-father. He is a wonderful companion to my mom and cares for our children like they are his very own grandchildren. When I married my husband I got THE BEST father-in-law that a person could hope for, he is a great grandfather. Thank you all for your Godly example in my life.
Last but certainly not least is my wonderful husband, the father to my children. He is a fantastic daddy. Though he has had limitations on what he could do with them he definitely made up for it in other areas. He is so unselfish and the needs of his family are always first. God truly blessed me when he placed this man in my life. Thanks for all you do for us, sweetheart. I Love you!!

ICHA Camp

Last week was ICHA camp, our van is in the shop right now so we rented a 2008 Dodge Avenger to make the trip to Indiana. WOW! what a car. It was a dream to drive! It was black and fully loaded, I loved it!

We had a good time at camp and got a great price at the Comfort Inn. The kids enjoyed the pool every evening, the girl at the front desk left it open later for them, she was so nice.

God really helped Steve speak in the Home Mission service on Saturday afternoon, and he shared about what God is doing for him now. Steve felt God leading him to attend the New Life Holiness Church where a lady he has been communicating with for the past 4 months attends church. Beverly was healed of Cerebral Palsy 3 years ago and when she heard about Steve getting his healing via Patsy Southerland she gave us a call, thus the beginning of a friendship on the telephone. We really wanted to meet her and felt God opening the door for it to finally happen. She had shared our story with her church and they have been praying for Steve every service. What an encouraging service on Sunday morning. We got to spend the day with Beverly and meet her husband, daughter and little grand-daughter Haley who is 4. We then attended service with them again for the PM service, we felt like we had known Pastor Coleman and his wife all of our lives, they were true encouragers.

Beverly's story is awesome! She is a kindred spirit and we feel honored that God let our paths cross with her. She understands Steve so much, and the healing process he is going through. What a blessed weekend God allowed us to have, He is so good to us.

Sorry there are no pictures, I left my camera at Beverly's home Sunday night, but I will get it soon, They are planning to come to camp! We are thrilled!!

Candi's Party

Grandma Chris got Candi an Ashton Drake Preemie doll! She is the perfect size for Candi and she even has a puffer!! LOL

Candi was cranky at her party because she had not had her nap, she was only happy when she was outside playing with Sara, I had to make her come inside to sing to her and get pictures with her cake. "It's My Party, And I'll Cry If I Want To" Watch Out! She has went from the terrible two's to the terrible three's. LOL

We had a nice time though, in spite of Candi's crankiness. She got nice gifts and we got to spend some time with friends.
