Rachael in church in an Apron

If any of you were at the Bible Methodist Camp last summer you will know that in this picture Rachael is just telling one of her stories in the children's service. I know it looks like she wore her apron to church and was preaching to the crowd, but it's okay she didn't really lose her mind. Sorry Rachael I couldn't resist this one, and I think I owe you a few paybacks anyway.
I love the expression on your face it is priceless!!

I am yearning for spring! This snow, ice and cold has got to go! LOL
I cannot wait until the flowers start to bloom and the birds start to sing again. I want to go outside without coat, gloves, scarf and boots. I want to get out my summer clothes and sandals.
Come Spring, Please come!

Finally Home Again

It is so good to be back home. Because of the snow and ice we were unable to get home on Thursday night after service and so I have been camping out at my in-laws house. My kids just love it, it is nice to spend time up there, my husbands parents are the greatest! But it is wonderful to be back home and in my own bed tonight. Speaking of which I'm going there now. Goodnight.

Day Bed

Candace Joy has graduated from her crib to a day bed. The pictures were taken while she was sleeping. She really thinks she is a big girl now. If I could just get her out of diapers. LOL

Home

We made it home tonight after church, but just barely we couldn't make it up our lane, so we went around the back way tonight and we succeeded! YAYYY! We couldn't get the van into the garage but at least we made it to the driveway. LOL

Snow, Snow, Snow

We are getting so much snow today, it was snowing when I woke up this morning and it has not stopped. We have at least 5 inches at this point and it looks as if it will never stop. I will have to pack a bag again this evening because I doubt I will make it home once we go down our lane for church tonight. LOL
I cannot deny that it is not beautiful, but I prefer the warmer weather. I am definitely looking forward to Spring and Summer.

My Parents

It was so nice to have my mom and step-dad with us this weekend. It was nice to have them here for the meetings, but especially nice to get to spend time with them, and shopping with my mom. :)

They sang in the services and my step-dad spoke a little bit tonight. We have been having wonderful services. Fred Christman got saved this weekend. What a miracle!

Priceless

My grandmother came to my house this weekend. Candi loves her to death, and they play together until Candi is laughing uncontrollably. They have alot of fun. This is priceless to me because my grandmother now has Alzheimer's Disease. At this point she still knows who we are, and I am so thankful. I don't mind listening to one of her stories from childhood 4 times, she may not remember that she told me the story multiple times but when she is telling me, she knows she is talking to me. When she is laughing and playing with Candi she still knows that Candi is her little great-grand daughter. and when Candi says "I love you, grandma Ellie" she knows Candi is talking to her. Thank God for small miracles. I thank God for a wonderful grandmother, she is the greatest!

My Husband

As some of you know, my husband Steve has been crippled from Cerebral Palsy since birth. He has walked on crutches and sits in a chair when he preaches. We have been in revival since New Year's Day here, and God has been meeting with us each night as we pray and wait on Him. God has miraculously been touching Steve's body and he is now standing when he preaches, holding on to the back of a chair. He sang about 4 songs tonight in the service, all while standing. I am so excited at the way God is helping him. All praise we give Him today.

Another Convert

Last night Charles Duncan's mother came to revival and gave her heart to Christ. Charles was so thrilled. He testified after the altar service and thanked God for saving him and now his mother. It is so exciting to see someone give their life to Christ, especially someone who has never claimed to be a Christian before.

Special Sunday

We were thrilled to worship with Pastor Roger and Rachael McCreery and their church family yesterday, Steve spoke in both services and we spent the night with them on Sunday evening. We really enjoyed the wonderful lunch and fellowship. They pastor the holiness church in Coshocton, Ohio and are some of our dearest friends. Canaan loves to go to their home and spend time with their sons Matthew and Nathan. Their daughter Sarah, is great with Candi. Thanks guys for a wonderful time. We love you.

Happy Birthday, Donna

When I started dating my husband, she was a Pastor's wife. She was an awesome example to me, she loved the people as if they were her family, She was a model Pastor's wife.
She is mother to 3 sons, and I have watched her worry and Pray for her boys, She is a model mother. She is a wife, she cares for her husband above herself, she is a model wife. She is a grandmother, her grandchildren love her and never want to leave her home, she is a model grandmother. She is a sister, she loves her siblings and worries about their families, she is a model sister. She loved me and accepted me with open arms, she babysits for me, she does things for me just to Help. She is a model Mother-in-law. She is a very special lady! I want to be just like her when I grow up! Happy Birthday, Donna.

Happy Birthday To Me

On this day 33 years ago I was born. YAYYY! This is what I looked like 33 years ago.

I Love birthdays! I love that there is a day every year dedicated to me. I love the cake and the icecream. I love that I don't have to cook. I love the surprises. I love when my mom and sister call me early in the day to sing Happy Birthday over the phone. I love when I am tucking my son in bed and he says Happy Birthday, Mom. I hope you had a special day. Just being with my family makes it special, without everything else. But everything else is nice too. I Love Birthdays! I Love Life!

The cake was decorated in orange and peach, it was beautiful and delicious! I had a special day.
We did lunch at Bob Evans. And had a small party at home. Fun, fun!
Canaan picked out the cake, chocolate marble with whipped icing, Yummy!

Prayer

Pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:16
This is my friend Alice praying at revival. She looked so sincere and humble that I couldn't resist snapping a shot. God has really been helping her in the meeting and her husband Charles is the one that has gotten saved. She has prayed for him for a long time. It was so sweet the other night in his testimony when he thanked God for a wife that held on for him.
God still answers prayer, in His time He'll work a miracle He will never fail. Satan has lost the battle when to the Lord you humbly bow, God still answers prayer.

Happy Birthday, Canaan

Canaan is 12 today. Where has the years gone? It seems like only last week I was laying in the hospital bed, holding him, counting his little toes. I thank God for giving him to us. He is the greatest helper, a wonderful big brother, and so much more than I could have ever wished for in a son. He gave his heart to Jesus when he was 5 years old, and has always had a will to serve Christ. He just recently got sanctified and has proclaimed the call to preach. I am so proud of him. Happy Birthday, Canaan.
Today for his special day I took him to Ponderosa for lunch and then on to Wal-Mart so he could spend some of his birhtday money. We bought a small cake and took it to Grandpa and Grandma Heskett's house so we could all celebrate together. Grandpa Steve gave him his birthday spanking. He does it every year, but not without a fight, and every year he tells Grandpa he won't be able to do it next year.LOL
He had a special birthday celebration here today, but will soon be going to Grandpa and Grandma Roush's where he is planning a celebration at Chuck E Cheese with Keith Michael Lance and Austin White.

A Beautiful Sunday

I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord. Psalm 122:1

What a beautiful day this has been, I love the Lord's Day. I love that we have a day set aside to worship Him. He has been revealing Himself to me more and more recently. God has been showing me new things in His word. We are in revival and this has been a wonderful time of growth for me. God has opened my eyes and heart to new truths and I am so thankful. I love gathering to worship Him. Today has been especially sweet. Very soon I will be free to share what all God is doing for us. He is so faithful to give what He has promised.

He won't take back one promise He's given to us, He won't let us down after lifting us up. You can take Him at His word, in His name you can trust, He won't take back one promise He's given to us.
