Maley Boys in the 70s

My cousins Denny and Dwayne, this picture was taken at the old home place, it looks so different now. I have so many memories of this place. What a wonderful life I have had. I love digging into the past and just remembering. Hope your enjoying this journey with me. Smiles!

Grandpap Dorsey and Grandma Leota

My Grandpap and Grandma Maley... Both now in Heaven. Grandpap adored me and I loved him unconditionally, though I was young when he went home to Heaven I have vivid memories of my time with him and of his love for me. My daddy had to hold me up at his coffin so I could tell him Good-bye. These grandparents gave me a rich heritage in Holiness.

Happy Birthday Gene

My mom remarried after the death of my dad. Gene is a great step-father and a wonderful grandfather to our children. He came into our family and fit right in as if he had been part of us our entire lives. He is a Godly Christian man, and a great companion to our mom. And though we all faced sorrow before we became family, we are thankful that God hand-picked Gene to be our second father. We love you, Gene. Happy Birthday!

I won't tell the world how old you are! =0)

Happy Anniversary to Papa and Mama Bear

My husbands parents are celebrating 42 years together today. They are the greatest in-laws a girl could ask for. They welcomed me into their family from the very beginning and became my second set of parents. I thank God for them and for the Godly values they instilled in my husband from childhood. He is what he is today because of this great couple. We love you both, Happy Anniversary!

Fall Decorations

This is what our fall decorations look like on our deck. I was going to get a mum but before I could get it bought our cat claimed the hay as her bed. It looks like she belongs there, smiles.

Canaan's latest invention

Canaan is always trying to invent something or come up with a new idea. He says this is the first one that has actually worked, and he couldn't wait for his cousin Jonathon to get down here so he could try it out. It is funny, they had so much fun on it this weekend. A two-man bicycle with three tires. They both had to peddle but only one could steer. Look out, Jon! =0)

The Wanderers

These two innocent looking girls wandered off today at Grandma Donna's house, and scared this mommy to death. Canaan, Kaitlyn and Jonathon were searching the woods, Uncle Scott was checking the bottom part of the campground, Aunt Susie and Grandma were searching the top, and I was driving Pine Grove Drive to make sure they hadn't taken the road. Aunt Susie found them playing in one of the camp rooms on the back side. They didn't even know they were lost. Smiles.
Tonight I hug Candace a little tighter, thinking of all the scary things that could have been.

A Day of Shopping

Today Candace and I went shopping, I didn't buy a whole lot but wanted to get some more ideas for Christmas gifts. Candi let me know exactly what she wanted, and when I told her she would have to wait for Christmas presents, she informed me that she wanted Christmas today, Smiles. She loves to shop, and she did get a few new winter things today just no toys, much to her dismay.

Celebrating Our Anniversary

Today my sweetheart took me to my favorite restaurant in the whole entire world, well in Lancaster anyway. ;0)
Texas Roadhouse - The food was delicious as always. The salad is so yummy! The steak is scrumptious. The rolls are to die for, and the big 'ol brownie.... OH MY! I am still stuffed! AND TOMORROW WE DIET!! :0)

My Anniversary

Today I am celebrating 14 years with my sweetheart. We have been thru alot together, we have faced some difficult circumstances, some scary times, and some awesome moments. I wouldn't change anything, we are stronger because of our journey together. He is the greatest, so giving and selfless. He is a wonderful Father and a strong spiritual leader in our home. I definitely got the best of the bargain on October 15, 1994. He is my best friend!

My Baby Sister

I am feeling sentimental today and really missing my sister, so I decided to blog about her today. I have so many stories I could share about her but I want to keep my life.
She is a wonderful sister and my best friend. Just wanted you to know I love you Brenda, and I didn't share the story about Buck though I was very tempted. =0)

Autumn

I really love autumn, I love the warm days and the cool evenings. I love the colors of the leaves and hearing them crunch beneath my feet when I am walking. I love the pumpkins and the mums and the bales of hay used for decorating. I love the weiner roast and hay rides. I love taking Canaan and Candi to the pumpkin patch to pick out the perfect pumpkin for carving. And I love sitting in my warm livingroom surrounded by the ones I love watching the raindrops fall. God has been so good to us, and continues to give to us abundantly. We are so blessed!

Weekend in Indianapolis

This weekend we went to Indianapolis to be with Larry and Ann Poe for the Mission Rally Day. Steve spoke in both services and we had a great time visiting with them for Lunch on Sunday and snacks after the service that evening. We got out there Saturday afternoon and checked into our room that we got on Priceline... Wow, we saved over $100.00 on our room, I put in a ridiculous low price to start with and Bingo, we got the room at Hampton Inn. Canaan and Candi took advantage of the pool, well Candi's feet did anyway =0)
Sunday evening we went downtown, I love the City of Indianapolis it is beautiful! Especially after dark when all the lights are on. We came back home today, so its back to our normal routine. Fun, Fun =0)

Job Interview

I had a job interview today, its looking promising. I will know in a few days. I have mixed feelings about entering the work force again, part of me is excited at the prospect and part of me wants to stay home with my baby. Above all I want God's will.
