My Mother's Birthday is Today

The woman that gave me life is celebrating her life today. She is the greatest mother. I hope we get to make alot more memories together. She is one special lady. I love you, mom. Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday Teddy

My nephew Teddy Ray was born on my mom's birthday in 2000. He turns 8 years old today. That is so unbelievable! He is so funny, always saying something to make me laugh. :)
Happy Birthday Teddy, hope you got lots of presents and money, and that you are feeling better today. I love you.

Lunch with my Parents

Today my parents came to Logan to take us to lunch at the Old Dutch. (Okay that isn't the only reason they came :)
Actually he had to come down and pick up his Buffalo meat in McArthur and so they called and arranged to meet us there. It was nice to get to see them anyway, we don't get to very often. Lunch was good!
Afterward I went to Shoe Show to check on some boots I had been watching for Candi, sure enough they were marked down today and I got them at half price. They are adorable, pink ankle boots and water proof. I find awesome deals there all the time.
On the way home there was a terrible wreck on Rt. 33, I sat in traffic for a long time, and then still had to turn around to go another direction, 2 cars hit head on and there were 3 deaths the last news we heard. I am saddened that tonight there are grieving families of 3 individuals that did not make it through the day, but I am thankful that once again God allowed tragedy to escape us and we are all still together and safe.

So Thankful

Steve's dad had his bone scan today in Cincinnati and there is no cancer in the bones, Thank God! They are giving him a couple of weeks to decide on treatment. We are trusting God for his healing. Thank you to everyone that said a prayer for him. Please keep praying for him during this time.

Our Vacation

The Cabin we stayed in was called Lovers Loft

What a wonderful bed, King Size and so Comfortable... I want that mattress!! :)

The steps leading up to the loft where the kids slept

The queen size bed in the loft with the same kind of mattress... so comfy!

The little kitchen where I made wonderful meals.... Well breakfast and Lunches... Isn't vacation for eating out?!?!?

A view of the livingroom from the loft, the cabin was decorated so cute!

My little princess posing for the camera

I loved this shelf it was gorgeous!

Canaan in the loft

Canaan snapped a picture while I was in the kitchen

We had not taken a vacation this year because we have been in prayer services each evening so we decided to rent a cabin in the beautiful Hocking Hills... and we were close enough to make it back to prayer service. The cabin was wonderful in a gorgeous setting... so relaxing, with a hot tub on the back deck. The kids slept in the upstairs loft. They had so much fun... I am looking forward to doing it again sometime.

Canaan Is Home

Canaan had a wonderful time on vacation with my parents, we went up to get him at their house yesterday and spent the night. That was nice, we had not been up there for a long time. ;)
He had ALOT to tell us on the way home, every little detail.... What they ate and where they ate, and how much it cost, and what time it was... Kidding :)
He talked and talked and talked.... We knew he was home. I missed him so much and am delighted to have him back. If you're interested I'm sure he will be happy to share his experiences with you :)
I won't be blogging for a few days we leave for our vacation tomorrow!! YAYYY! I'll post pictures when I return.

Sharing from my Heart

I am always amazed at the faithfulness of God. I have really had questions with an issue... just really wondering about it and pondering some things. God answered me tonight in such a unique way, leaving no doubt that it was answers to all my wonderings.
I just wanted to share, and let you know that He is the God of answers if you truly seek Him, (His ways) and listen for the answer, He will not disappoint. He is so faithful.

Great is thy faithfulness, Great is thy faithfulness. Morning by morning new mercies I see. All I have needed thy hand hath provided. Great is thy faithfulness, Lord unto me.

Brooks Family Reunion

Today was my mother-in-law's family reunion. It was very warm today. Candi enjoyed playing with her cousins at the playground. She cried when it was time to leave, it was definitely nap time :)
I never got to meet Steve's Grandpa Brooks, he went to Heaven just before Steve and I started dating. But I am so thankful that I got to know Grandma Brooks. What a wonderful lady she was. She made me feel part of the family right from the beginning. She was a Godly Christian, I was honored to call her Grandma.

Let's Do Lunch -Girlfriends!

Today I met my friends Trina Witham and Melissa Fisher for lunch at BellaLuna's, it was so nice to spend time with friends without my kids for a change. :)
The lunch was so good, and then we walked it off. The walk is something I have been planning to start...we discussed walking on a regular basis, hopefully it will be cooler, it was warm today.
When I got home Candi had missed me but Canaan is a great babysitter, and Steve was home with them. They survived so maybe this will become a regular event. :)

Farewell Party for Marc and Nicole

After service this morning we said good-bye to Marc and Nicole with a party. They will be moving this week. The party was under the church pavilion, it was a perfect day for a cookout. The food was sooo good! Especially the Italian cake that I had never tasted before. :) Yum!!

Portraits of Candace Joy

There is Hope

I am impressed with McCain's choice for VP. I am beginning to see signs of hope on the horizon. She is definitely conservative in her views on very important issues. She is classy and gives a very stirring speech. It doesn't hurt that she likes to hunt :)
