Spring Cleaning....Again

Today we have started back in to my house, the main bathroom is getting it today. A fresh paint job! It is going to be the same color as Candi's bedroom. Then I will be tackeling my bedroom. UGHHH! I am not looking forward to that part of the project! I have sooo much junk that I need to pitch. I am not a pack rat but Steve doesn't like to part with things, I'll have to make sure he isn't home when I start cleaning out in there. :)
We took a break over the weekend, but hopefully it will be completed this week. My friend Alice is a great painter, she worked for her cousin when he had his painting business, and she paints all the trim free hand which saves alot of time since we don't have to tape anything off. While she does the trim work, Canaan and I have been rolling the walls. I feel like I am living in a new home, watch it sell after I do all these changes. :)
There will be finished pictures to follow.

During the Sermon

This morning we were at our home church in New Lexington. Pastor Teter was giving the sermon and at one point he said, "O God, please help us" and then paused. That is when Candi spoke up in a loud voice. "O God, please help us"
Everyone laughed.
I think God gives us children to keep us humble, you never know what they are going to do or say. :)

Spring Cleaning...

We are now spring cleaning/re-decorating... We are switching out Canaan and Candi's bedrooms. Candi is now going to have the bigger bedroom since she has more toys and junk. Canaan is excited about the switch and does not mind that he is moving into a smaller room. We have been painting Candi's room today with the help of my friend Alice. It is a beautiful, bright pink. I will be sure to post pictures when the product is complete. :)

My Beautiful Sister

I enjoyed spending time with my sister, she laughs at me for expressions I make when I am listening to someone talk, but I caught her in the act, so the laugh is on her this time. LOL
I'm not really sure what she was doing in the second picture, talking to her husband with her eyes closed?!?! It appears that she is laying down the letter of the law. IHC is a great time to reconnect with family and friends. My sister is getting ready to move farther away from me, and hopefully she will continue the IHC tradition. Love ya, Brenda!!

My Nephew

My little nephew Teddy Ray sang this year with the Children's choir. He is so cute and funny! He always makes me laugh! :)
He doesn't have much patience with Candi, I think she gets on his nerves. He played nice with her anyway, he just had to straighten her out a couple of times. LOL

This is Teddy with his battle scars, he got in a
tussle with a chair.

IHC... O What a Time

Last Tuesday found the kids and I heading off to Dayton for the IHC... One of the many hightlights of our year. Canaan had a wonderful time, hanging out with friends and flirting with girls. LOL
I had a great time with my sister and her beautiful boys...My mom... Susie Pittman...Rachael McCreery... and the Fun-lovin' Turners. Candi got to play with her cousin Lauren and she just loves her to death.

I Love IHC and all it stands for!

Shopping

Candi and I went shopping today in Lancaster. She is quite the little shopper! She prefers looking at shoes and trying them on, but today we were looking for clothes. I found quite the bargains for Candi and for myself. I am thrilled!! I found her dresses and skirts, they are darling. She tried everything on when we got home and waltzed around the livingroom so daddy could tell her how pretty she looked. LOL
I found a couple of things for myself. Some great sales! My mom had gotten me a gift card to Cathrine's and I wanted to use it. After all the discounts I saved $51.09, this has been a profitable day.
I am preparing to go to IHC on Tuesday next week, our family always looks forward to the convention and seeing family and friends there. I am so proud (in a good way) to be part of the Holiness movement. What a refreshing time! Hope to see you there!!

My Hawaiian Princess

These pictures were taken last night at Women of Worth. We used a Daisy theme and the flowers on Candi's Hawaiian moomoo was close to a daisy. Mom bought the outfit for her while she was vacationing in Hawaii last November. I was afraid it would be too small when it finally warmed up enough for Candi to wear it, but it fits perfectly. She thought it was so funny when I told her she was wearing a moomoo. LOL

Twins Boys, Are There More Twins on the Way?!?!?!

I picked Jeanie and her babies up yesterday for Sunday School and Church, her twin boys are so precious. They do not want anyone but their momma, I tried to help her with them but they would only cry for her, I do not know how she does it. They are 9 months old this month, Jeanie's baby is due October 27, she will go for a sonogram one week from tomorrow to see if there are more than one baby this time. She said just shoot her now. LOL

My Home Church

I copied this picture of our church from Becky Bell, she takes great pictures.

I got to attend my home church today, it was nice to be home. Steve didn't have to speak anywhere this morning so we had a nice day of rest. It was so beautiful out today, but all I felt like doing this afternoon was sleep. :)
God is still meeting with us in the prayer services and still touching Steve's body. We see new improvements every day, it is amazing. He is doing things now that he has never been able to do before. What a mighty God we serve!!

Fun Day with my Family

Today the Realty company booked 2 showings the first at 11:00 AM and the second at 3:00 PM so we decided to go spend some family time together doing some fun stuff. We left home at 10:30 and I took care of some errands that needed done, then we headed for Lancaster.

We went to Bob Evans for lunch, it was delicious and one of my favorite places to eat. After lunch we went to All About Kids Too, where Dora was spending the afternoon, the place was packed. I have never seen so many people in a Thrift Store. LOL

It was such a beautifu day the the RV sales had all the doors open on the motor homes and campers for people to walk thru so I took the kids there and we walked thru them, they are so nice and Candi loved it, I think she thought they were little play houses.

We then checked out the new Lancaster Wal-Mart and it is so nice, the Logan Wal-Mart is not that old but it is amazing how much different the new Super Centers are now. After leaving Wal-Mart we headed home so Candi would still get her afternoon nap before the evening service. I have to say A Good Day Was Had by All!!

A Presidential Candidate!?!?!?!

Not very patriotic! There is some controversy whether they were actually reciting the pledge of allegiance or singing the National Anthem, in either case his lips are not moving and he does not know to place his hand over his heart.
I cannot believe he is a serious candidate for Presidency of the United States.
Wake Up, America!!
