I See Jesus

I saw Jesus last week. He was wearing blue jeans and an old shirt. He was up at the church building, He was alone and working hard. For just a minute He looked a little like one of our members. But it was Jesus. I could tell by His smile.

I saw Jesus last Sunday. He was teaching a Bible class. He didn't talk real loud or use long words, But you could tell He believed what he said. For just a minute, he looked like my Bible teacher. But it was Jesus, I could tell by His loving voice.

I saw Jesus yesterday. He was at the hospital visiting a friend who was sick. They prayed together quietly. For just a minute he looked like Bro. Teter. But it was Jesus, I could tell by the tears in his eyes.

I saw Jesus this morning. He was in my kitchen making my breakfast and fixing me a special lunch. For just a minute he looked like my mom. But it was Jesus, I could feel the love from His heart.

I see Jesus everywhere; Taking food to the sick, Welcoming others to his home, Being friendly to a newcomer; and for just a minute I think he's someone I know. But it's always Jesus, I can tell by the way He serves.

Memorial Day at Rising Park

I love Memorial Day! I love the memories of past Memorial Day's that I spent with my family. We would spend the Saturday helping dad clean his school bus for the parade. You really don't realize how many windows a bus has until you have to clean them. :) Then we would have to get up early on Monday to get our fresh cut flowers and Bible ready, it was the last day of the school year when we had to wear our school uniforms. Then we would meet in front of the Towers on Main St. and get lined up to march in the Memorial Day parade with our Christian Academy. The parade ended at the National Cemetary where we would place our fresh cut flowers that we kept fresh from a wet paper towel and aluminum foil on a soldier's grave. After the parade our church youth would go to Knottsville Ball Park for softball games and a cookout until late in the evening. I know this is probably more information than you needed but I thought I would share! :)
Early today we took the kids to Rising Park for a picnic lunch from KFC. It was a beautiful day, the weather was great! Candi played at the playground she loves to slide. I could hardly pull her away. :)

Canaan fished there and got a few bites but they got away. It was a fun day! I love making memories with the family God has given me, They are my LIFE!

Happy Birthday

Today is my father-in-law's birthday. He is a Godly man and I am so happy for the influence he has in my children's life. He is a very caring man, he does at times come across gruff but he is really a gentle Teddy Bear. I have seen people treat him with less than respect, but he never talks bad of anyone. He says things to people at times out of concern for them or to try to encourage them to work for God, he would not intentionally hurt or offend anyone. I have watched him more than one time pray for someone and they would be touched. He is a great man, I have seen God use him many times. I love you, Papa Bear. Happy Birthday.

Please Help us Pray for My Friend Rachael McCreery

My friend Rachael found out this morning that a mole she had removed was malignant. Please pray that God will be a comfort to her during this time. She is a beautiful Christian whose heart yearns to do God's service, and I know God has great plans for her and her husband in ministry. Rachael please know that we are holding you up in prayer during this time in your life, I love you.

School's Out!!!

Canaan is finished with the 2007-2008 school year. YAYYY! I think I am happier than him. LOL Steve and I are praying about what to do in the future, we would really like to get him into a good Christian Day school. I promised God when my children were born that I would never put them in public school if it was in my power to keep them out, and though homeschooling does get tiring at times it is also very rewarding. God has helped us and I am so thankful for the way he has helped Canaan this school year, and He helped us find a wonderful tutor to help out this year. She is marvelous and I know that God sent her our way.

My Precious GRAND-Mother

My grandmother just celebrated her 84th birthday. She is one of the sweetest ladies I know. She always wants to help someone, she has been a hard worker all her life, and though her life has not been easy she never complained. I have such wonderful childhood memories of her that I will cherish always. She has been so giving to anyone she saw with a need. She spent time on the Mission field in Haiti until sickness forced her to come home. The little orphans that she worked with over there stole her heart and they loved her so much. She speaks fondly of her time there. My grandmother now has Alzheimer's and we don't know how long she will be as we know her now, but I thank God for a wonderful, Godly Grandmother. Happy Birthday Grandma Ellie, I love you!

Mother's Day

God blessed me with a wonderful mother. She tells us how she used to be shy when she was young, and I find it very hard to believe! :) She talks to everyone now whether she knows them or not. LOL When I was a young girl still living at home, she was so fun! Always laughing and singing her cute little made up songs and rhymes. She taught me about Jesus and how to truly be joyful in life. She is the greatest Mother a daughter could wish for. I love you, Mom.

When I married my husband, God gave me another Mother. She is by far the greatest Mother-in-law. She is not as talkative as my Mom but she is just as wonderful. She is so kind and giving to those around her, she is a great supporter to Papa Bear's ministry though she prefers to stay behind the scenes. Her children rise up and call her blessed, she is truly a virtuous lady. I love you, Mama Bear. :)

Tonight was our church mother- daughter banquet. It was so nice and the food was delicious! I took my mother-in-law and my little princess. We had a great time. The banquet was lead by Karen Hinkle. Sarah Teter sang, she has a beautiful voice. I love to hear her sing.

Still Painting...Almost Done

Today we painted the bathroom that is in our bedroom, we did it the same color 'Tidewater' the bathroom is dolphins and it is a really pretty blue. I'm really pleased with how my bedroom turned out, and I wanted to keep the same color theme in my bathroom that I have in my room. I am anxious to get everything back in place. :)

Glorious Sunday

What a beautiful Sunday.

Today found us once again in Marietta, worshipping with our fellow believers there. They have been in revival with Ben Dowd. He preached a masterpiece this morning, I am so glad that I got to hear it.

God is continuing to touch Steve daily. New improvements each day. What an awesome God. I have learned thru this experience that He cares for us down to the tiniest detail. Wow! His power is amazing! He has been so faithful to show us things as we pray. Giving new light... Teaching us thru His Word... I am in awe of Him.

Great is thy Faithfulness, Great is thy Faithfulness. Morning by morning new mercies I see all I have needed thy hand has provided. Great is thy Faithfulness, Lord unto me.

This is my favorite hymn and has really spoke to me thru this experience with Steve in a new way. "Morning by morning new mercies I see"

My Bedroom

My bedroom is finished! Woohoo!! I'm glad that is done. I love it though and it was well worth it. My bedroom was nautical, the lighthouses, dolphins, seashells. ect.... The blue I painted it is called Tidewater and I think it goes beautiful with my decor.
