Crystal Park Choir

My mom sang a solo part in the choir at the Crystal Park Program on Sunday evening, she did a wonderful job, her microphone didn't work very well, but my camera picked it up good. She is a beautiful singer. We usually only heard her singing with dad, but she has a great solo voice.

Crystal Park Christmas Programs

My niece, Kaitlyn Heskett
My cousin Brian's little girl, Alana Maley

My cousin Mike's little girl, Grace Maley

My cousin Mike's little boy, Cole Maley

Kaitlyn singing with her cousin Drew, it was beautiful! The little blond is Abby White's little girl Nila. She is darling!

All the little kids singing at the end of the program, My niece Lauren Heskett is the little girl in the front row with the red and black dress. It was a really nice program. The children all did a good job, their program was in the morning and the adult program was in the evening, it was a nice day.

My Van is Back on the Road

My Dodge Caravan has been repaired, I am so thankful that it wasn't anything real major...just a starter. We were told at first that it was a timing belt, which would have been much more costly and taken alot more time to repair. Thanks to Bro. Hunter for staying late after service last night and putting on a new starter. God is so good to us.

The Christmas Love Chapter

If I decorate my house perfectly with plaid bows, strands of twinkling lights and shiny balls, but do not show love to my family, I'm just another decorator.
If I slave away in the kitchen, baking dozens of Christmas cookies, preparing gourmet meals and arranging a beautifully adorned table at mealtime: but do not show love to my family, I'm just another cook.
If I work at a soup kitchen, carol in the nursing home, and give all that I have to charity; but do not show love to my family, it profits me nothing. If I trim the spruce with shimmering angels and crocheted snowflakes, attend a myriad of holiday parties and sing in the choir's cantata but do not focus on Christ, I have missed the point.
Love stops the cooking to hug the child. Love sets aside the decorating to kiss the spouse. Love is kind, though harried and tired. Love doesn't envy another's home that has coordinated Christmas china and table linens. Love doesn't yell at the kids to get out of the way, but is thankful they are there to be in the way. Love doesn't give only to those who are able to give in return; but rejoices in giving to those who can't.
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. Video games will break, pearl necklaces will be lost, golf clubs will rust; But giving the gift of love will endure.

A Great Weekend

I now have 2 vehicles.... and they are both broke down ;) No kidding!!

So this weekend we rented a car, it was a 2008 Pontiac G6, it was wonderful!! We went to Marietta on Saturday and to Coshocton to stay with our friends, Roger and Rachael McCreery. Their Christmas program was Sunday night, it was a wonderful presentation. They put alot of work into it and it was a true inspiration. Rachael and some of her church ladies wrote the Drama and it was superb! We had a really fun weekend, and now I am back home.

If we don't have a running vehicle by this weekend, it is back to the rental store, Yaayy!

Women Of Worth/December

Tonight was our first Women of Worth meeting since last May, we are a small group but are hoping that more ladies will become involved again. The meeting was held at the Nelsonville Wesleyan Church fellowship hall, it is a beautiful facility. The pizza and salad was provided and everyone brought desserts and drinks. Yum! Our theme was the candy cane, and I shared the Legend of the Candy Cane. We had fun with the Christmas Carol Trivia, and then all sang "I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day" which is one of my all time Favorite Christmas Hymns. Christmas is a fun time and we had fun tonight.

A Sad Good-bye

Today we said good-bye to a friend. Jim Connolly passed away in his sleep and his funeral was today. Steve had the service, and though I was nervous for him he did a good job. Jim's wife got saved when we were pastoring in Cambridge, and the family has become dear friends. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War where he earned a Purple Heart, a true hero. the military ceremony was so touching. Please pray for Brenda, Jimmy, Heath and Hannah and their spouses and children during this holiday season.

Candace Joy

My sister-in-law took this picture of Candace at a bridal shower and I wanted to share it...
Candace is the total opposite of our Canaan, she keeps us on our toes... I don't know where she comes up with some of the things she spouts off about :) She keeps our home lively... I wouldn't trade anything about her. She is our joy.

Friend

I am so thankful for friends... For the times when I am feeling discouraged and I receive a phone call at the perfect time... Coincidence? Definitely Not. There are so many different types of friends, and I thank God for each one.
The friends that are always there to listen... and can be trusted with my deepest secrets.
The friends that are great for the carefree moments when I just need to laugh and forget the stresses of life.
The friends that just give a smile and a hug when life is pressing in.
And the friends that are kindred spirits, their values are the same... You both yearn to see God do the impossible... A Prayer Partner...
I thank God for all the friends He has placed in my life... What would I do without you? Thanks to all of you who have touched my life in some way... You are my Friend!
Luv ya,

How Great Thou Art

Psalm 97:6
The heavens declare His righteousness, and all the people see His glory.

O Lord, my God. When I in awesome wonder. Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made; I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder, Thy power throughout the universe displayed. When through the woods, and forest glades I wonder, and hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees. When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur, and see the brook and feel the gentle breeze. And when I think that God His son not sparing; sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in; That on the cross my burden gladly bearing, He bled and died to take away my sin. When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation, and take me home, what joy shall fill my heart. Then I shall bow in humble adoration, and then proclaim: "My God how great Thou art!"

Some Good News =0)

In spite of how the 2008 elections turned out, here is some good news... Something to look forward to... Sarah Palin for President in 2012!!!!
(And she even puts her hand on her heart during the pledge to the flag)

God's Judgement on America

I believe that the election results is the beginning of God's judement on a nation that has rejected Him. I have mixed feelings today... And though I know God is still in control, I believe we are going to see some hard days ahead.
America has elected a President that is Anti-America, Anti-White, Anti-Jew, and Anti-God.

Grandpap Dorsey and Grandma Leota

My Grandpap and Grandma Maley... Both now in Heaven. Grandpap adored me and I loved him unconditionally, though I was young when he went home to Heaven I have vivid memories of my time with him and of his love for me. My daddy had to hold me up at his coffin so I could tell him Good-bye. These grandparents gave me a rich heritage in Holiness.

Happy Birthday Gene

My mom remarried after the death of my dad. Gene is a great step-father and a wonderful grandfather to our children. He came into our family and fit right in as if he had been part of us our entire lives. He is a Godly Christian man, and a great companion to our mom. And though we all faced sorrow before we became family, we are thankful that God hand-picked Gene to be our second father. We love you, Gene. Happy Birthday!

I won't tell the world how old you are! =0)

Happy Anniversary to Papa and Mama Bear

My husbands parents are celebrating 42 years together today. They are the greatest in-laws a girl could ask for. They welcomed me into their family from the very beginning and became my second set of parents. I thank God for them and for the Godly values they instilled in my husband from childhood. He is what he is today because of this great couple. We love you both, Happy Anniversary!

Fall Decorations

This is what our fall decorations look like on our deck. I was going to get a mum but before I could get it bought our cat claimed the hay as her bed. It looks like she belongs there, smiles.

Canaan's latest invention

Canaan is always trying to invent something or come up with a new idea. He says this is the first one that has actually worked, and he couldn't wait for his cousin Jonathon to get down here so he could try it out. It is funny, they had so much fun on it this weekend. A two-man bicycle with three tires. They both had to peddle but only one could steer. Look out, Jon! =0)

The Wanderers

These two innocent looking girls wandered off today at Grandma Donna's house, and scared this mommy to death. Canaan, Kaitlyn and Jonathon were searching the woods, Uncle Scott was checking the bottom part of the campground, Aunt Susie and Grandma were searching the top, and I was driving Pine Grove Drive to make sure they hadn't taken the road. Aunt Susie found them playing in one of the camp rooms on the back side. They didn't even know they were lost. Smiles.
Tonight I hug Candace a little tighter, thinking of all the scary things that could have been.

A Day of Shopping

Today Candace and I went shopping, I didn't buy a whole lot but wanted to get some more ideas for Christmas gifts. Candi let me know exactly what she wanted, and when I told her she would have to wait for Christmas presents, she informed me that she wanted Christmas today, Smiles. She loves to shop, and she did get a few new winter things today just no toys, much to her dismay.

Celebrating Our Anniversary

Today my sweetheart took me to my favorite restaurant in the whole entire world, well in Lancaster anyway. ;0)
Texas Roadhouse - The food was delicious as always. The salad is so yummy! The steak is scrumptious. The rolls are to die for, and the big 'ol brownie.... OH MY! I am still stuffed! AND TOMORROW WE DIET!! :0)
